Nasolm is the world in which my fantasy stories will be set. It is also one of my larger worldbuilding projects. Here, on this page, I plan on sharing fragments of the relevant information necessary to enter into this world. I don't want to share everything because I also want you, the reader and audience, to discover, uncover, hypothesize, and piece together theses fragments within each story shared.
That said, what better place to start than by uncovering your first fragment, the world's name.
The word "nasolm" means "a world" "one world" or "first world," as it is a combination of the Ancient Alovien words "na" meaning "one" and "solm" meaning "earth," "ground," or in this context "world."
The image is a look at what the word "nasolm" would look like in a written or engraved form. The consonants encircle or orbit the central vowels. The consonant on the bottom is always read first followed by the one to the left in the circle all the way around. There are two vowels in the center, "a" and "o." Of these two, "o" is dominant and therefore given greater emphasis. Thus, the word "nasolm" is pronounced something like "nah solm" rather than "nae solm" with the "o", as the dominant vowel, emphasizing its powerful sound.
Lastly, the above pronunciation is the Ancient Alovien dialect, which is an easier and far simpler dialect than Original Alovien. In Original Alovien, the word "nasolm" would actually be read something like "nen aya ses ohoo lel mem" all at once.
